The Role:
As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant for KS2, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and students across the curriculum. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons for children in Years 3-6
Providing targeted support for individual students, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN)
Monitoring and assessing student progress, contributing to reports and IEPs (Individual Education Plans)
Leading small groups and providing intervention to help children reach their learning goals
Supporting the teacher in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
Building strong relationships with students, staff, and parentsThe Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual who has:
A recognised Higher-Level Teaching Assistant qualification (HLTA or equivalent)
Experience working with KS2 children, particularly in a classroom or support role
A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, assessment methods, and SEN provision
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
