Contract: Temporary, 3-month assignment

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hrs/week

Are you a skilled Clinical Psychologist ready to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team? We are Med Team Primary Care, currently recruiting for a Band 8a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist to join the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in Bromley.



Role Overview

In this role, you will provide specialized psychological services for young clients, focusing on in-depth assessments, therapy, and consultations to support children and adolescents' mental health. You will work independently and collaboratively to develop effective care plans and provide consultation and supervision to team members. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to clinical service evaluations, research, and improvements.



Key Responsibilities




  • Conduct specialized psychological assessments using a variety of approaches (e.g., neuropsychological tests, self-report, interviews).

  • Implement tailored interventions for individual clients, families, and groups.

  • Collaborate on diagnosis, care planning, and evaluations, providing guidance to multi-disciplinary colleagues.

  • Supervise Band 7 psychologists and provide placements for psychology trainees.

  • Lead designated developmental areas, audits, and service evaluations to drive improvements.



Skills & Experience Required




  • Essential: Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

  • Experience: Extensive experience with psychological assessments, treatments, and supervision across varied settings and diverse client groups.

  • Skills: Strong proficiency in assessment, complex intervention, communication, and supervision within multidisciplinary settings.



Preferred Experience




  • Training in ASD assessments (e.g., ADOS, DISCO).

  • Experience with CYP-IAPT outcome measures or prior work within a CYP-IAPT service.
