Our client, a leading firm in the HTP sector, is seeking a Highway Strategy Manager for a contract position. This role demands effective direction, leadership, management, and guidance in various aspects of professional, planning, and development services including transport modelling assessments, strategic highway development, and sustainable travel initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership and management of the Transport Strategy and Development team.
- Ensuring the capacity to produce effective and efficient solutions to transport and development issues.
- Collaborating with professional leads and organisations to integrate modern principles and methodologies into service provision.
- Acting as the client for transport in strategic investment development teams for all modes of transport including road, rail, water, and air.
- Assisting the Head of Highways, Strategy & Design in managing services that contribute to community sustainability and the local physical environment.
- Working with professionals from Regeneration, HR, and ICT to ensure focused and efficient service provision.
- Championing Health, Safety and Environment through continuous improvement and performance management.
- Undertaking out of hours duties including evenings, weekends, public holidays, and in various weather conditions.
