HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant)

We are seeking an experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Cover Supervisor to join a school in Blaenau Gwent. In this role, you will be supporting teachers by delivering high-quality education to students across the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2, covering lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher and supporting students with additional needs where necessary.
* Location: Blaenau Gwent
* Salary: Starting from £105 per day
* Working Hours: Part-time, full-time, and ad-hoc roles available (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm)
About the Role:
As an HLTA or Cover Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:
* Supervising and delivering lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and work effectively.
* Supporting the delivery of lessons by helping students to understand tasks and learning materials.
* Assisting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Additional Learning Needs (ALN) to ensure they are fully supported in their learning.
* Promoting positive behaviour and fostering an inclusive classroom environment.
* Supporting small groups or individual students, helping them achieve their individual learning goals.
* Assisting teachers in preparing learning resources and activities.
* Helping maintain an effective learning environment, ensuring classroom activities run smoothly.
