We are seeking a Primary School Teacher to cover PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) at primary schools located across Blackpool and Fylde. Contracts and hours will vary from full (32 hours per week) to part-time. The role offers an exciting opportunity to support teaching and learning across various year groups throughout the academic year. This is a great opportunity for anyone seeking to develop their range/ exposure to years 1-6 and offers a different day every day!

Whether you're a Student Teacher looking to gain experience or an experienced L4 higher level teaching assistant seeking a new challenge, we welcome applicants who are passionate about education and making a positive impact.

Experience with classroom delivery, management and lesson plans will be needed. Work will be planned, however you will need to be flexible, deliver work across a range of classes and year groups and mark if needed. Typically you will cover PPA slots however, you may also be required to cover absence and SLT time.

School hours are 8:30-3:30.

Pay: £14-£15 per hour.

Responsibilities:


  • Preparation or collaboration of lesson resources with the Teacher.
  • Cover the class and deliver planned work in the Teacher's absence (PPA time/ teacher absence etc).
  • Maintain a controlled and safe environment in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to organise appropriate activities.
  • Liaise with other professionals such as Teacher's, TA, specialist support staff.
  • Work closely with other LSAs and support staff.
  • Work with classes, small groups and with children on a one to one basis such as intervention or development.
  • Prepare and develop class displays.

Essential requirements:


  • Experience of working with young people.
  • Previous HLTA and class leadership experience.
  • Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to engage with, and build rapport with young people.
  • Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style.
  • HLTA qualified - L3/4 upwards.
