Aspire People, a leading education recruitment agency, is excited to recruit dedicated and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join a specialist through school in Shrewsbury. This school supports pupils aged 5 to 16 with social, emotional, and mental health needs, providing a nurturing and inclusive environment.
As an HLTA, you will:
* Deliver high-quality support to students, working closely with teachers to implement engaging and effective learning strategies.
* Lead small group sessions and assist in whole-class teaching, adapting activities to meet diverse needs.
* Support students during outdoor activities and promote their physical and social engagement.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to enhance their learning experiences.
* Foster positive relationships with students, helping them develop their social and emotional skills.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting, preferably with those who have special educational needs.
* A genuine passion for supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
* A proactive and flexible approach to teaching, with a willingness to lead activities both in the classroom and outdoors.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., HLTA status or equivalent) are essential.
