We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Home to School Transport Assistant.


The Role:

As a Home to School Transport Assistant, you will assist the Integrated Home to School Transport Team in delivering effective and efficient service outcomes for our customers and stakeholders. This part-time role involves a minimum of 10 hours per week, providing flexibility and an opportunity to contribute to a crucial service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Service Delivery: Assist in the front-line delivery of all aspects of Home to School Transport, including commissioning, procurement, and contract management. Ensure the consistent application of statutory and discretionary Council policy.
  2. Data Management: Accurately record data on Council systems, databases, and spreadsheets. Input and verify required information, extract data, and assist the Home to School Transport team in analysis and interpretation.
  3. Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships across directorates and with external stakeholders. Establish responsive communication networks and assist H2ST Officers in managing the local marketplace.
  4. Support: Provide support to H2ST Officers and senior colleagues. Assist in producing reports, presentations, and briefings as needed.
  5. E-Procurement: Ensure E-Procurement catalogues and prices are up to date and renewed in a timely fashion. Advise of any changes promptly.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role or administrative position.
  • Strong data management skills with the ability to input, verify, and extract information accurately.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in using Council systems, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise reports, presentations, and briefings.
  • Knowledge of E-Procurement processes and catalog management.
  • Flexibility to work part-time hours, with a minimum of 10 hours per week.
