I’m currently working with a Council in the
Midlands
that are seeking an experienced Home to School Transport Manager for a 6 month contract.
In your role as a
Home to School Transport Manager
you will be reporting into the AD for Education & Head of Service for Transport. This role sits within the Home to School Transport Service and is responsible for the management and efficient delivery of the Home to School Transport (taxi) contracts for over 7,000 eligible customers; including pupils travelling to mainstream schools and children with SEND.
In order to be considered for this role, you must have a proven track record working as a Home to School Transport Manager, within a local authority setting.
Your Role as Home to School Transport Manager:-
You will hold operational management of the Home to School Transport team
Management and efficient delivery of the Home to School Transport (Taxi) contracts
Contract and Compliance
Tendering Process
Team management and supervision
Your previous experience as Home to School Transport Manager:-
Senior management experience within Home to School Transport
Understanding of contracts, compliance and the tender process
Experience managing home to school transport contracts
Local Government experience
Strong communication skills and the ability to prepare and present reports to senior management
Ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external service providers
Experienced in managing budgets and commissioning services
