We have a great opportunity for a Softs Homewear Buyer to join a fast growing branded business. You will have the opportunity to work across several of their amazing premium brands. Working closely with the Commercial Director and the Creative Director you will be responsible for the creation of product ranges, ensuring the brands identity is clear as well as being trend lead.
The role will be based in their newly refurbished Hertford office with some time in the London HQ too.
Main Responsibilities will include:
* Work closely with the Commercial Director for Home and the Creative Director to develop and build product ranges to reflect current trends, ensuring each range is commercial and meets company objectives, sales targets and customer needs.
* Analyse performance and review current range to ensure that FOB, MOQ, sales and margins are achieved.
* Collaborate with the sourcing team to manage annual production and manufacturing budgets alongside the critical path.
* Complete buying trips as needed within the UK and overseas to identify new suppliers and maintain relationships with current suppliers.
* Prepare and present regular range reviews and presentations to senior management.
* Maintain and build strong working relationships with supply base and source new suppliers.
* Keep up to date with product trends (including packaging), constantly review competitors in the market.
* Collaborate with the Creative Director and the design team on trends and product development.
* Daily liaison with factories on development.
Person Specification
* Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role across the following categories; bedding, towelling, soft filled goods, throws and blankets.
* Passion for product and a love for Home is essential.
* Good knowledge on Home testing requirements and legislation.
* Strong understanding of the concepts of brand strategy and knowledge of the competitive market place.
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Natural ability to initiate and build strong relationships with other stake holders.
