We are looking for a special person to join our team working in a high-profile chef / kitchen administrator role. This is an exciting opportunity for an established chef to run a medium size operation in a prestigious blue-chip contract including a cafe /deli bar, a busy coffee/grab & go area, and meeting room hospitality.
This role will involve production of innovative salads/finger foods etc for all areas of the operation as well as management of the kitchen administrative duties.
The ideal candidate will ideally have:
Very strong financial and operational ability
Experience in the contract catering industry at Senior Sous Chef level.
The ability to train and motivate a team to maximise performance and efficiencies.
Hospitality/event catering experience.
A personality that can span differing levels of staff, client and customers; & maximise excellent working relationships.
A good understanding of people management skills within todays employment legislation.
Very good knowledge and implementation of food safety and health and safety legislation
Key skills required are:
Excellent craft skills along with knowledge of current food trends.
A true passion for great food and service.
A professional, self-motivated individual.
Excellent communication skills written and oral.
Ability to drive teams.
A very keen eye for detail.
The ability to work on own initiative and be highly responsive to unit and client requirements.
Computer literate (Microsoft Office word, excel, outlook).
Flexible working hours to meet needs of the job.
A proven track record in driving sales through marketing & promotional activity.
Innovative thinker and brilliant at identifying opportunities.
This role requires someone highly flexible and must have the ability to drive teamwork.
