Elevate projects are working in partnership with a valued client to appoint a Housing Advisor to join there Housing options and Homelessness team. Key responsibilities:
- Face to face working with customers.�
- Day drop in for homeless, and offering telephone advice.�
- Providing direct one-one advice
- Attend professional meetings�
- Visit supported housing applicants�
- Supporting applicants to work in partnership with multiple agencies�
- Create personal housing plans for each applicant based on assessment.�
Experience's and key skills�required:
- A good understanding of homelessness legislation, including the homeless reduction act.�
- A wider knowledge of social housing, welfare reform and local government.�
- Excellent IT skills�
- Ability to manage complex and varied work load, in occasional demanding times.�
- Great communication with applicant, landlords and professionals�
- Ability to motivate applicants to take active steps to prevent their own homelessness or find alternative accommodation.�
