Housing Advisor

Elevate projects are working in partnership with a valued client to appoint a Housing Advisor to join there Housing options and Homelessness team. Key responsibilities:

• Face to face working with customers.�


• Day drop in for homeless, and offering telephone advice.�


• Providing direct one-one advice


• Attend professional meetings�


• Visit supported housing applicants�


• Supporting applicants to work in partnership with multiple agencies�


• Create personal housing plans for each applicant based on assessment.�

Experience's and key skills�required:

• A good understanding of homelessness legislation, including the homeless reduction act.�


• A wider knowledge of social housing, welfare reform and local government.�


• Excellent IT skills�


• Ability to manage complex and varied work load, in occasional demanding times.�


• Great communication with applicant, landlords and professionals�


• Ability to motivate applicants to take active steps to prevent their own homelessness or find alternative accommodation.�
