An established law firm is looking for skilled Housing Disrepair Fee Earner/Solicitor to join their teams in Manchester and Liverpool, with flexible hybrid working options available. Key Responsibilities:




  • Handle a caseload of pre- and post-litigated housing disrepair claims, primarily under Sections 9a and 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985.

  • Oversee cases from inception to conclusion, adhering to the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Conditions.

  • Provide clear and effective communication with clients, handling all aspects of the claim and managing client expectations throughout the process.

  • Ensure accurate documentation, attention to detail, and timely completion of all case-related tasks, managing priorities in a fast-paced setting.



Requirements:




  • 4+ years of experience managing housing disrepair or civil litigation cases.

  • Solid understanding and experience with housing disrepair law; those with significant contentious civil litigation experience (10+ years) are also encouraged to apply.

  • Ability to bill work at Grade B or above.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an excellent eye for detail.

  • Candidates with a degree-level education are preferred; those applying for senior roles may possess FILEX, ILEX qualifications or equivalent experience.
