BDS are recruiting for an experienced Housing Officer in SE1 London.
This is a hybrid role but will require some office based days as well as planned visits.
We are looking for both a temporary worker who can start asap as well as a permanent member of staff but you can be considered for both roles.
Rate of pay circa �25 per hour umbrella
The role will involve
- Dealing with tenancy enquiries, General inspections ,Handling low-level ASB's, Mutual Exchanges
- Provide day to day support to staff with complex cases (such as ASB, rent arrears etc) through attending meetings with customer partners and drawing up action plans subsequently
- Manage a small number of our temporary accommodation schemes and provide support to residents living there
- Support staff to resolve complex complaints and monitor and manage the early resolution stage ensuring all actions are completed.
- Sales and rents, administer collections, and develop policies to deal with and minimise arrears
- interview tenants and give advice on tenant-landlord relationships, house purchasing and benefits
- inspect properties
- lettings
- process applications for housing improvements and repairs and communicating outcomes to tenants
- manage improvement loans and grants and administering repair and maintenance programmes
- manage nuisance orders, collect information and refer cases to the neighbourhood nuisance team
- prepare cases and attend court hearings
- handle breaches of tenancy and leasehold agreements, which could culminate in carrying out evictions
