Our client, a leading provider in the social housing sector, is dedicated to addressing the shortage of quality housing for those in need of additional support. Working closely with local authorities on a national basis, they aim to provide access to affordable, quality housing for vulnerable individuals.
The Service Manager plays a key role in ensuring high standards of housing management and service provision to meet funding and contractual obligations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee service operations of a high-quality, needs-led support service working with individuals facing a range of challenges, including those with high drug and alcohol dependency, those who are deemed homeless and those affected by domestic abuse.
Direct line management responsibility for Senior Support Worker, Floating Support Workers & Housing Officer. Provide supervision, oversee complex casework, including child protection and safeguarding vulnerable adults.
Work closely with other agencies and represent the service in multi-agency meetings.
Ensure services meet quality standards and that case records are maintained professionally and accurately.
Requirements:
Experience managing services for vulnerable individuals, preferably supported housing services.
Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
Proven experience within the social housing sector including knowledge of housing benefits
Strong administrative and people management skills.
Ability to manage crisis, safeguarding and complex casesituations
Excellent communication, IT, and organisational abilities.
A DBS check issued within the last 12 months or registered on the update service would be advantageous.
Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle.
