Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Housing Team Manager to join a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Charity based in Durham on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Duties:

* To be the first point of contact for staff and provide ongoing support, guidance, training, direction, and line management of allocated staff to help them deal with the day-to-day issues that arise. You will also be responsible for ensuring they are delivering high quality housing management and tenancy sustainment services, are working to our policies and procedures, work with other housing colleagues to ensure our properties are of a good standard, are well maintained, compliant and our occupancy is maximized.

* Support and guide staff in relation to dealing with anti-social behaviour issues, serving notices; appointing a solicitor and attending court hearings and ensuring all incidents are recorded and documented accordingly

* Provide guidance and support to staff in relation to the delivery of tenancy sustainment and support services including guidance in relation to safeguarding and risk

* Ensure yourself and your staff team maintain accurate records and case recording via a range of methods in line with company policies and local procedures including our MIS

* Support and guide staff in relation to reducing arrears, voids, and improving property turnaround times

* Encourage and support staff to promote tenant involvement and actively encourage them to complete surveys e.g. Repairs and Maintenance Surveys, TSM’s, Humankinds Annual Service User survey

Requirements:

* Experience of providing intensive housing management to vulnerable people

* Experience of managing and motivating a diverse team across a wide geographical area

* Knowledge of Housing Law relevant to social housing, private landlords and tenants

* Full UK Drivers Licence with ability to travel across areas
