Our retained client is looking to recruit a HR Advisor.



You will respond to complex casework and play a key and visible role in employee relations issues. Experience of working in a multi-site business would be highly advantageous, but not essential.



HR Advisor is able to quickly establish effective relationships with key stakeholders, promote best practice and have a good working knowledge of employment law.�



Role Responsibilities��




  • Manage HR day-to-day transactions accurately and effectively including updating MyHR.

  • Ownership of HR policies, conducting annual reviews and ensuring legislation updates are captured.

  • Supporting and coaching managers on HR issues ensuring compliance to policies, procedures, and Employment Law.

  • Creating, reviewing, and updating contracts of employment, job descriptions and role profiles.

  • Proactively identify performance issues with line managers and recommend a best practice approach, providing appropriate support.

  • To prepare and issue written correspondence in relation to disciplinary and grievance cases and be active in dealing with process stages where and when required.

  • Advising and supporting managers on recruitment and selection processes collaboratively alongside our Recruitment Manager.�

  • Coordinate and support the talent pipeline with Managers.

  • Ensure employees are onboarded positively and effectively.

  • Monitoring and reporting HR metrics including turnover and retention rates.

  • Supporting managers with informal and formal team development including appraisals.

  • Provide HR advice, information and coaching on personal development plans, succession planning, identifying skills gaps and supporting training needs.

  • Play an active role in employee engagement initiatives, promoting company values and behaviours, embedding them into the organisational culture.

  • Promote HR best practices looking at ways to adopt and implement progressive changes.



Essential Requirements:




  • Up to date knowledge of employment law and best practice

  • HR generalist experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Confident communicator and solution focused

  • Ability to work and remain calm under pressure

  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel

  • Excellent attention to detail & analytical skills

  • Highly organised and ability to balance multiple priorities

  • Flexible to adapt to the demands of an ever-changing business environment

  • Ideally CIPD Level 5 qualified�
