Maternity Cover (12 months)

We're currently working with a well-established, fresh produce business who have multiple sites across the UK. We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join the team in Selby, with regular travel to Branfield in Brough and Tees Valley near Middlesbrough.

As the sole HR person in the north, your work will directly influence the success and wellbeing of our teams across three growing sites and one seasonal packhouse. Work closely with the SLT and be a key player in our supportive and friendly team.

Your responsibilities include:

• HR Support: Be the go-to person for HR queries and support the management team across Branfield, Selby, and Tees Valley.
• Employee Relations: Handle ER case management with expertise and empathy.
• Absence & Recruitment: Manage absences, oversee recruitment, and ensure a seamless onboarding and offboarding process.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare weekly HR KPIs and monthly manpower reports to keep our operations on track.
• Engagement & Compliance: Conduct employee forums, support audits, and ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Payroll Management: Check and approve wages and payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with working time regulations.

Is this you?

• Preferably CIPD qualified with previous experience in a similar HR role.
• Experience within the fresh produce/food manufacturing would be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment law.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
• Experience in payroll management and audit processes is a plus.
• Willingness to travel regularly to different sites.

This is fulltime position and working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 16:30 (potential flexibilty on these hours) Please note this is a Maternity cover position (12 months).
