I am currently partnering with a fantastic Bolton based business to recruit for a HR Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.
Salary up to £34,026 based on site in Bolton. This role is reporting into the HR Manager.
Purpose of role:
To provide proactive operational human resources service to managers across the business supporting the department’s strategy, development plan, HR structure and service level agreement. The post holder will be responsible for providing advice, support and guidance to identified business areas.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Work collaboratively with the human resource team and managers in the college to deliver an effective and efficient operational human resources service.
2. Effectively coordinate the recruitment process and to provide professional advice and support to managers on the process, business procedures and best practice.
3. To assist in the maintenance of accurate HR information via the computerised HR information system and manual records.
4. Provide advice to staff and managers on HR policies and procedures , terms and conditions and employment legislation.
5. To prepare and complete HR related documentation: contracts, payroll amendments, pension forms.
6. Develop and deliver training and develop good practice guide in relation to human resource policies.
7. Provide support and advice on disciplinary and grievance issues across identified programme areas/departments, ensuring compliance with the business policies and employment legislation.
8. Advise on the application of maternity, paternity, parental & annual leave entitlements and associated processes.
9. Proactively seek to maximise attendance, including sickness monitoring and supporting managers with the relevant policy and procedures for identified programme areas/departments/cost centres.
10. Provide statistical data and management information and work with managers to determine future needs on areas such as turnover, equal opportunities, recruitment and absence.
11. Involvement at an operational level with consultation and communication process (i.e. recognised trade unions).
12. Contribute to developing, reviewing and implementing human resources policies.
13. Represent the HR team as required at internal committees/meetings and external meetings.
14. Liaise with members of key service providers including Finance, Payroll, Pension Proactively work with agencies and Occupational Health to assist well-being of staff and maximise attendance.
15. Provide information and statistics for the strategic HR function for the purpose of reporting to outside bodies as appropriate.
16. To take responsibility for professional and skills updating in line with the CIPD’s continual professional development requirements.
17. Demonstrate a proactive approach to equality and diversity across determined programme areas/departments.
18. To undertake such other duties commensurate with the duties and salary of this post, as may be required from time to time.
