Cooper Lomaz is recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation for an experienced HR Advisor to join their close-knit team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in delivering transformational HR initiatives while providing essential support and guidance across the business.
Role Overview:
As an HR Advisor, you will collaborate with managers and the Senior Leadership Team to deliver an efficient HR service. You will handle a variety of HR activities, from employee relations to recruitment, and contribute to strategic projects that enhance engagement and organisational effectiveness.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line HR support, advice, and coaching on all people-related matters
- Update and review HR policies and procedures, advising managers on implementation
- Educate teams on company values and embed them at all levels
- Manage employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management
- Support performance management initiatives, including probation reviews and improvement plans
- Promote mental health and wellbeing strategies, including occupational health referrals
- Oversee recruitment and selection processes, including apprenticeship campaigns
- Collaborate with the Finance team to update payroll and manage benefits administration
- Lead onboarding processes, including HR inductions in collaboration with Health & Safety
- Contribute to HR systems improvement and provide analytics reports as needed
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in HR advisory roles
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices
- Ability to manage a varied and demanding workload
- Excellent communication and coaching skills
- Proficiency in HR systems and analytics
Desired Skills:
- Experience in change management and system implementation
- Knowledge of mental health and wellbeing strategies
- Familiarity with payroll and benefits administration
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience managing employee relations casework and contributing to strategic HR initiatives
