We have a fantastic opportunity for a junior HR professional to take control of the HR administration and provide a first-class service to all employees/managers and stakeholders with our wonderful Abingdon-based client. You will be joining the team in a replacement capacity of the outgoing postholder, and progression opportunities may be available after two years in post.

HR Assistant Responsibilities

As the HR Assistant some of your duties will include:

Providing assistance with new starters, including documentation checks, training arrangements and offer letter distribution
Monitoring and processing leavers and ensure the correct procedures are followed
HR record filing (hard and electronic copy), ensuring all employee files are correct and up to date.
Spreadsheet management
Liaising with the HR team to ensure employment contracts are drafted, approved, sent to candidates and returned
Supporting the HR, Recruitment and Payroll teams with gathering information required
Performing any other duties commensurate with the role as required and directed by the HR Manager

HR Assistant Experience

To be successful in this role you will have professional experience in a UK-based HR administrative role, excellent attention to detail and confident communication skills. You must also have a can-do attitude and not be afraid to muck in with some HR administration/filing! It is a bonus if you can also demonstrate:

Degree educated in HR or other relevant subject
Minimum of 6 months experience as HR Assistant / Administrator in the UK
CIPD qualified or working towards qualification
Due to the nature of the tasks, you must be proficient with MS Office particularly in Outlook, and Excel Knowledge of formula use and V look up is desirable.
Location

Our client’s lovely office is based in Abingdon (OX14) with free parking onsite, and nearby public transport links. Core hours are 8-4 or 9-5, 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Hybrid working opportunities are available once you are settled into the role (2 days from home).
