My client are an award winning commercial body shop.  They are on a path of growth and now have the need for an HR Manager to ensure excellence and best practice in their business’ relationship with the team.



The HR Manager will offer a standalone HR solution to the business.  This is a new role so you will be able to implement processes and procedures that are tailor made for the company.  The role will run and manage the day to day HR tasks.



The opportunity here is huge!  The company are ambitious and this role will become a central part of the senior management team.  As time goes on you may need to build a team around you to continue to deliver top notch HR services. 



You will be given the autonomy to nurture a company culture of collaboration, trust and partnership.



The main objectives of the role are to provide clear HR support to the management team, and employees, advising them on best practice, and implement relevant policies and procedures to assist in the smooth running of the business.



On a day to day basis you will:




  • Advising Senior Management Team on best HR practices throughout the business

  • Implement HR policies as required in the business

  • Create and implement a staff handbook

  • Ensure consistency across salary and benefits schemes

  • Assisting line managers with onboarding and probation periods, appraisals, disciplinary issues

  • Assisting employees with any questions that they may have

  • Driving forward Learning and Development in the company

  • Succession planning and training

  • Oversee the payroll process

  • Monitor and record all staff holiday and sickness



We want to find an HR professional who is:



Creative, tenacious, thorough, approachable, fair, confident



What you can bring to the party:




  • 2+ years generalist HR experience, ideally in a standalone HR Manager role

  • Experience in creating an HR facility from scratch would be desirable but not essential

  • CIPD qualifications

  • Experience in a similar industry
