This growing construction business is seeking an HR Manager to join their business.  You will work closely with Directors and senior managers in this “stand alone” opportunity.  You will establish all HR processes and procedures from scratch, and work with complete autonomy in getting processes achieved.  Your day-to-day tasks will include: -




  • Act as the first point of contact for HR queries

  • Work closely with Directors and Senior Managers to drive consistency in people practices.

  • Develop and implement HR processes and policies for the full employee.

  • Manage employee relations cases including long term sickness absence, disputes, disciplinaries and grievances.

  • Provide HR Administration i.e., Drafting of template letters, contracts, and formal correspondence.

  • Oversee and manage a performance evaluation process and annual appraisals, that drives high performance.

  • Ensure the maintenance of all digital employee personnel files, ensuring archiving of leavers and cleansing of information held in line with GDPR.

  • Ensure compliance with all aspects of GDPR in relation to employee data.

  • HR reports to Management Meetings.

  • Manage recruitment and selection from resource request, through to appointment and onboarding/ induction.



To apply you must be: -




  • Previous experience as an HR Advisor/Manager.

  • Able to hit the ground running and set up all HR processes

  • Minimum CIPD Level 5 or working towards

  • Up to date knowledge of employment law

  • Diplomatic approach to working with others and introducing HR Policies to an established team

  • Good employee relations knowledge and experience

  • Excellent communication, investigation, and analytical skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Good IT skills, MS word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases

  • Experience of HR in the construction industry would be an advantage, but not essential
