Job Description
Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a new challenge in the education sector? They are seeking a proactive and collaborative HR Partner to join their forward-thinking national Multi-Academy Trust, for their schools based in Brighton and Hove. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of their trust by supporting their schools and central team with strategic HR initiatives.
As an HR Partner, you will work closely with school leaders, the central HR team, and the wider trust leadership to deliver expert HR guidance and support. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring a flexible approach to meet the evolving needs of the trust.

Purpose of the role
To act as the first point of call in the provision of school support to their Brighton-based schools
To work closely with the Chief People Officer and the broader HR team to contribute to and implement national initiatives
Essential Criteria
Education, Qualifications and Training
Minimum GSCE English and Mathematics Grade C or equivalent
A professional qualification relevant to the post such as CIPD Level 5 (Level 7 desirable)
Experience and Skills
Ability to work operationally whilst demonstrating the ability to think strategically
Experience of providing a proactive HR service at senior advisor level within the education sector
Experience of working in challenging environments and maintaining resilience
Experienced in building Human Resources team and coaching and mentoring
Ability to operate in a consultative manner, demonstrate confidence and ability to push back, whilst maintaining professional relationships
Extensive experience in providing robust, proactive employee relations advice
Advanced keyboard skills, software expertise, Word, and Excel
Demonstratable experience of working with a HR database i.e. People HR, ITrent, bespoke systems
Business level written and oral communication (must be able to prepare documentation with and without templates)
Able to use own initiative and work alone when necessary
Extensive attention to detail with ability to maintain accurate and up to date records
Experience in implementing and supporting organisation change management
Ability to meet tight deadlines and plan and manage own time effectively; well organised

Ability and experience in dealing with confidential information, and keeping matters confidential
Personal and approachable with the ability to maintain professional distance
Robust nature and ability to work well under pressure
Evidence of solid understanding of employment law
Demonstration of successful management experience in: Recruitment; Selection and Retention; Employee relations; Working with trade unions; Performance management; Policy and Process development; Change or Project Management
