HR/Payroll Administrator

HR experience essential for this role

Start Date: 9th September 2024

Permanent Part Time Position / Job Share

Duties and Responsibilities

You'll be working on a variety of HR processes which will include and not be limited to:

  • Managing the onboarding process as required, including Right to Work and the employment screening escalation process for new joiners
  • Managing the leaver process as required, taking instruction from line managers, and answering queries.
  • Processing contractual changes
  • Assisting with projects and audits
  • Managing and answering queries by email and phone
  • Assist and support the entire HR shared services function to include payroll
  • Sending employee hours over to our customers daily
  • Completing DBS applications for employees
  • Responsible for any amendments in a timely manner
  • Respond and resolve payroll queries promptly
  • Adding deductions to both our payroll systems and our internal systems

Ideal Candidate

  • Ability to manage own time effectively
  • Attention to detail is a key fundamental part of this role, with the ability to prioritise and manage high volumes of work, maintain quality and accuracy and provide excellent service delivery
  • An understanding of HR processes and/or HR policy is essential
  • Ability to work at pace
  • Fantastic organisational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Proactive, willing to challenge and have the confidence to identify and recommend changes and improvements
  • Sound experience of working within a team
  • Excellent communication skills, including high quality of written English
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Ability to think on your feet and look for solutions to challenges
  • Good IT and keyboard skills; in particular, good working knowledge of Word and Excel

Hours of work: Wednesday 12pm - 5pm. Thursday & Friday 9am - 5pm with half an hour for Lunch

Salary: £12.00 an hour, then £12.36 after a Successful 3 months' probation period
