Job Overview�



Be part of a dynamic and safety-conscious team! We are seeking a proactive�HSE�(Health, Safety, and Environmental)�Advisor�to oversee and enhance workplace safety in our�print production�facilities based at our Paragon Sunderland site.�



You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with�health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a strong safety culture, and mitigating risks associated with printing operations, including�machinery, chemical handling, and workplace ergonomics.��



35 Hours per week: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm�



Key Responsibilities�




  • HSE�Compliance & Policy Implementation:�Ensure adherence to�OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other relevant�HSE�regulations.

  • Risk Assessments & Audits:�Conduct�site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits�to identify hazards and implement corrective measures.

  • Incident Investigation & Reporting:�Investigate workplace accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents, ensuring root causes are identified and preventative actions are taken.

  • Training & Awareness:�Develop and deliver�HSE�training programs�for staff, covering topics like chemical safety, manual handling, and fire prevention.

  • Emergency Preparedness:�Establish and maintain�emergency response plans, including fire drills, evacuation procedures, and first aid readiness.

  • Environmental Compliance:�Monitor waste management, air quality, and hazardous material handling in accordance with�environmental standards.

  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:�Work with production teams to integrate�HSE�best practices�into daily operations and drive a�safety-first culture.�



Skills and Attributes we are looking for




  • HSE�Qualification�(NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)

  • Experience in the print production or manufacturing industry�is desirable

  • Strong knowledge of�machinery safety, chemical handling, and PPE requirements

  • Proven ability to conduct�risk assessments and safety training

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage with employees at all levels

  • Knowledge of�ISO standards and environmental management systems�
