HSE Manager

Seeking an experienced HSE Manager to take on a crucial role within the Engineering & Manufacturing department. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the Health, Safety, and Environmental strategy throughout the Birmingham site.

Description

• Responsibility for a site within a defined by Line Manager (these may change from time to time to meet business needs)
• Provide HSE advice, guidance and support to enable the sites to comply with relevant statutory legislation
• Drive business Standardisation and assist with the continued adherence to the HSMS and any other relevant HSE policies at the sites
• Establish and agree a "Site Audit" to ensure continued, regular and balanced site inspection is maintained
• Meet annual Safety, Health and Environmental objectives which will be assessed via the performance management system
• Assist the central HSE function in delivering the functional business objectives
• Coordinate and assist the Management team(s) in HSE initiatives at the sites

Profile

A successful HSE Manager should have:

• Previous HSE responsibility in warehouse and transport environments, target focused and an ability to deliver standardised programmes
• NEBOSH is essential
• Analytical ability / commercial experience /contractual understanding
• Carrier management and development experience would be beneficial
• Stakeholder management and management influence
• Accustomed to working with project management and across functions
