We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic HSE and Vetting Coordinator to join our team in Whitehall London,

The HSE and Security Officer will implement and monitor safety and security protocols to protect the organization's staff, facilities, and resources. This role involves conducting risk assessments, responding to incidents, and promoting a culture of safety.

Salary: £35,235

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours

Location: MOD Whitehall London

Key responsibilities:
Monitor premises and personnel using surveillance systems.
Conduct regular patrols of the facility to ensure safety and security.
Identify potential security risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
Investigate incidents and prepare reports documenting findings.
Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees.
Promote safety awareness and compliance with safety regulations.
Enforce safety and security policies and procedures.
Collaborate with management to develop and update safety protocols.
Serve as a point of contact for safety and security concerns.
Maintain communication with regional and national HSE team.
Maintain accurate records of incidents, safety drills, and inspections using our AIR3 reporting tool.
Prepare reports for management regarding safety and security issues.

Desirable skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred
Previous experience in security, training, or a safety-related role.
Strong observational and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

More about the role:
May require working irregular hours, including nights and weekends.
Physical demands may include standing, walking, and responding to emergencies
