Human Resources Advisor

Job DescriptionWe are currently working in partnership with a local council based in Glamorgan, who are recruiting for a HR Advisor on a 12 Month contract.The ideal candidate will experience and knowledge of employment law and a background working within public sector.This is a full-time position with a salary band of £35,336 - £39,571 (subject to experience).Duties will include (but are not limited to): Contributing to the development/delivery of a high quality HR business partner support function throughout the organisation with a focus on promoting best HR and OD practicesProviding advice and support to managers on a range of casework issues including that relating to discipline, grievance, performance management, grading and redundanciesPromoting and maintain effective employee relations including taking a support role in consultations/negotiations with trade unions and the workforceContributing to the regular review of HR policies and practices to ensure they reflect both up-to-date employment law and best practiceExperience required:Experience of working in a public service environmentSkills, knowledge and expertise required:Excellent people management skillsHigh level analytical, organisational and problem solving skillsProject management and research skillsRewards and Benefits:Home based role that requires travel to multiple sites based in the Glamorgan areaWorking hours:37 hours per weekMonday – Friday (flexible start and finish times)Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.
