Job Title: Human Resources (HR) Manager

Location: Combination of on site at school in Tunbridge Wells and Crowborough as well as being able to work from home

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated HR Manager to join an education trust, working in partnership with Vision for Education. The successful candidate will lead and manage the HR function across our schools in Kent and East Sussex, ensuring alignment with the trust's strategic objectives and compliance with all relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute HR strategies that support the trust's mission and goals, ensuring alignment with educational priorities.
• Policy Development: Create, review, and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with current employment legislation and best practices.
• Recruitment and Retention: Oversee the recruitment process, from job design to onboarding, ensuring the attraction and retention of high-caliber staff.
• Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Performance Management: Implement effective performance management systems to promote staff development and organizational effectiveness.
• Compliance and Record-Keeping: Ensure all HR activities comply with statutory requirements and maintain accurate employee records.
• Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs to enhance staff skills and career progression.
• HR Reporting: Prepare and present HR metrics and reports to senior leadership to inform decision-making.

Person Specification:

• Experience: Working within Education as a HR Manager is a requirement for this role
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and experience with HR systems.
• Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
• Attributes: Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
