HV Control Commissioning EngineerLocation - East AngliaSalary – Up to £60,000Job purpose:In order to further improve the high voltage network, the objective of an HV Control Commissioning Engineer is to help with the safe and effective commissioning of new RTUs and switchgear. Your proposed addition of new telecontrol capabilities to the control system will improve safety and performance.Accountabilities:On the HV network, switch securely using SCADA to help with the commissioning of new HV remote control facilities.Give the Control Engineering team guidance on commissioning SCADA.Make sure RTU commissioning is finished in accordance with the appropriate engineering and safety guidelines. Maintain any SCADA problems or other flaws that might arise during commissioning, make sure they are appropriately reported, and pursue their resolution.Load and adjust SCADA for our sites in a safe manner.Give precise numbers for commissioning numbers.Assist the Automation team and Control Systems with commissioning and automation services to support new Automation team functionality, Quality of Supply, and Improvement initiatives.liaison to guarantee the correctness of data sources with an eye towards improvement with operational field employees and asset management professionals.Establish a single point of contact for commissioning between field-based engineers, control systems, automation, and network controlQualifications:Experience in the relevant industry. Minimum of ONC Electrical and Electronic Engineering (or a comparable degree), with a focus on HV distribution network understanding. While not required, familiarity with Control System RTU integration, including DNP3, WISP+, and other industrial protocols, is preferred. Familiarity with the Distribution Safety Regulations. Strong comprehension of the role of network control. Prior experience working with distribution networks.
