Turner Lovell are recruiting for a fast growing international EPC contractor who have a strong pipeline of renewable energy, electricity and offshore wind projects across the UK and Europe.
Position: HV Transformer Installation Supervisor
The HV Transformer Installation Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and commissioning of high-voltage power transformers at various project sites.
Key Responsibilities:

• Review tender documentation and project requirements.
• Participate in buildability reviews to ensure project feasibility.
• Conduct site surveys to assess installation feasibility and identify potential challenges.

• Promote and ensure safe working practices and continuous improvement in site safety.
• Oversee transformer installation, testing, and commissioning at project sites, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards.
• Collaborate with project teams, installation contractors, and internal teams to ensure clarity of scope and project timelines.
• Lead discussions with contractors to ensure timely delivery to site.
• Review and confirm quality documentation including RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements), ITPs (Inspection Test Plans), and CCTs (Critical Component Testing).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including progress logs and as-built drawings.
• Prepare and issue site test documentation (e.g., RAMS, NCRs, TQs) in accordance with approved procedures.
• Provide training and guidance to on-site personnel to ensure a skilled workforce.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Full, clean UK driving license.
• Previous experience as a site supervisor in power transformer installation, service, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage power transformer installation, testing, and commissioning processes.
• Experience working with UK and European TSOs and occupiers.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
