Payroll Officer



Red Rock Consultants are currently working with a tailored aircraft solutions for global Integrators, National mail organisations, and other B2B e-commerce suppliers.



They are seeking a confident and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a part-time, hybrid basis at East Midlands Airport.  



You will lead on ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.



20 hours per week : 4 days - 5 hours per day



1 day per week required working from the office.



Key Responsibilities




  • Lead the implementation of a new payroll system.

  • Ensure payroll is accurately processed, on time, and compliant with statutory regulations.

  • Maintain payroll systems reflecting current employee contracts and collective agreements.

  • Keep payroll procedures updated.

  • Communicate effectively with employees and external stakeholders, promptly responding to queries.

  • Submit external reports.



Requirements




  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing payroll in a medium or large organization.

  • Experience with Sage 50 payroll system is essential.

  • Strong experience in dealing with HMRC.

  • Strong IT skills, including competency in HR, payroll, and financial systems.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll, tax legislation, GDPR, and pensions.

  • Experience designing, implementing, and managing payroll processes and controls.



Salary & Benefits




  • Salary: £14,420 (pro rata)

  • Hybrid working arrangement
