CRANSWICK GOURMET SAUSAGE LAZENBY'S IN HULL ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW HYGIENE SUPERVISOR FOR ITS DAY TEAM FULL TIME, MONDAY TO FRIDAY.

We are recruiting on behalf of our client Cranswick Gourmet Sausage Lazenby's. Our client is a fast-paced sausage facility located in Hull, that uses only the best cuts of British Pork, fresh herbs and spices, Cranswick are the UK's leading producer of gourmet sausages, supplying major retailers and food service outlets alike. They could not be more proud of Cranswick Gourmet Sausage's state-of-the-art facility in Hull. Opened in 2005, the site has laid the blueprint for producing artisanal food to scale. They are dedicated to innovation and have invested heavily in the site over the last five years, but they have never forgotten the roots of success. Client is searching for successful candidates that are reliable, flexible, self-motivated and hardworking, to which could lead to a permanent opportunity.

Responsibilities include:

  • Identify hygiene requirements by monitoring changes in the production environment, developing and refining the SOPs and master cleaning schedule, to ensure safe food is delivered in compliance with regulatory, customer codes and identified best practice
  • Ensure that all team members have the skills and understanding necessary to successfully complete their role and have training plans which support their ongoing development
  • Conduct Hygiene audits, completing in-depth micro trend investigation as necessary, to highlight the need for process and scheduling improvement and more effective communication
  • Plan and co-ordinate the hygiene aspects of external audits, and sign off of associated corrective actions, to maintain authorization from regulators and customers
  • Plan and deliver hygiene elements of capex/maintenance programs to ensure that all equipment is installed with appropriate hygiene SOPs and is maintained to agreed levels of operational integrity
  • Create business plan, authorize tendering activity and day to day spend for all hygiene team related matters, assuring consultation with Group Purchasing, to ensure adequate supply of resources within agreed budgetary parameters
  • Complete risk assessment against sanitation standard and monitor delivery against operating procedure to ensure that all sanitation activities are fit for purpose and completed in a safe manner
  • Ensure that a safe working environment exists for employees and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set in the SHE Policy

Your Expertise:

  • L3 Food Hygiene
  • L3 HACCP
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • COSHH
  • Allergen Awareness.
  • Investigation of Microbiological Hygiene
  • Financial understanding
  • Auditing
  • Pest Control
  • CIP
  • Computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Hygiene systems
  • Experience of hygiene operations including management of a team ideally within FMCG environment
  • Experience leading and working with a diverse workforce
  • Experience of driving cost reduction

Basics:

  • 7am - 4pm
  • Monday - Friday
  • £15.15 per hour
