Everpool Recruitment are looking for an experienced ICT system Network Engineer, to join our client based In the Mersey side area, the role is suitable for someone with experience, at an established 3rd line level, with both field and helpdesk support under your belt. You should have an understand and working knowledge looking after LAN’s, WAN’s WLAN’s, configuring DHCP and DNS.

What’s on offer?
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per anum.
Hours: Flexible choice of 37.5 hours per week, between 8.30am and 5.30pm.
Where: Office and field based. Please note, a full driving licence is required.

About you?

As an ICT Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing customers Network infrastructure.
You must have experience with Network Infrastructure and installation/configuration.
From deploying technologies to ensuring seamless connectivity, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the systems and hardware for their substantial customer base.
Allow flexibility, whilst our client is happy for you to pick your working hours between Monday – Friday, we also ask for you to remain flexible around customer needs when on site too.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing 3rd line system and hardware support across multiple organisations.
You will be responsible, to Install and configure network switches, routers, Wi-Fi networks and firewalls. You will assist in the design, configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure components.
You will set up & support clients with applications such as Microsoft 365. Working closely across all divisions, help desk, sales, and provisions to implement new technologies and initiatives.
You will Install and administrate servers, laptops and PCs including operating systems and applications as well as perform system backups and recovery.
Implement network security measures to safeguard against cyber threats. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime.
Essential hands-on experience required to complete the role:
You must be proficient, in Networking protocols and technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN).
End user management – Local PC Configurations, (MACD)
With experience and understanding of network cabling and rack design - Including the configuration of switches and routers.
You should have an understanding of incidents and service requests such as (network including LAN, ADSL, FTTC, FTTP, ETHERNET, ECT).
Virtualisation software (Hyper-V) - using/managing VMs.
Enterprise server operating systems (OS) (Windows Server 2012R2& Linux).
Microsoft 365, exchange on-line, SharePoint and Azure.
NAS - monitoring and storage assignments.
Hands-on experience with network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls) from leading vendors.
