The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join our team starting in January. This locum role involves working within our Mental Health Service to support complex cases, conduct Section reviews, and ensure service users receive high-quality, person-centred care.
Key Responsibilities:
Frontline Duty: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Back-up Duty: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM shifts.
Spending 2-3 days per week in the county, working from Russell House (Rhyl) or a satellite office on the mental health ward.
Managing complex cases and conducting Section reviews under the Mental Health Act 1983.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support to service users.
Maintaining up-to-date documentation and ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices.
What We're Looking For: We want AMHPs who are:
Willing to base themselves in the county at least 2-3 days per week.
Eager to take on challenging and complex cases.
Proactive and ready to get stuck in to make a difference.
Able to avoid "AMHP Princess" behaviours and thrive in a supportive, hardworking environment.
