Our client, a Legal 500 law firm in Southampton, is seeking an experienced Immigration Lawyer to join their busy team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and client-focused solicitor to play a key role in providing expert legal services within a friendly and supportive team environment.

Duties will include:

  • Providing corporate immigration advice.
  • Advise multinational companies and HR teams on a broad range of corporate immigration matters, including work visas, intra-company transfers, sponsorship, and compliance issues.
  • Draft and submit applications for work visas, sponsor licenses, and other immigration-related applications.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in immigration legislation and advise clients on how to remain compliant.
  • Assist clients with managing complex immigration compliance issues, including audits, reporting obligations, and renewals.
  • Conduct legal research and provide tailored advice on the latest immigration policies and regulations.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, becoming their trusted advisor on immigration matters.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to ensure a coordinated and seamless approach to client matters.

Desired skills:

  • Minimum 7 years Immigration fee earning experience, essential.
  • Proven track record of meeting fee targets and deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of UK immigration law and the Home Office procedures.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.
  • Client-focused with a passion for helping individuals navigate immigration challenges.
  • Experience of Employment law desired but not essential.
