In-house Legal Counsel

In-house Legal Counsel Midlands, UK £Competitive package Our client, a renowned UK company with a global presence and expanding product portfolio, seeks a talented lawyer to join their East Midlands-based legal team during a period of growth. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will play a key role in all legal and compliance matters, advising colleagues on various legal issues. As a core member of the growing, legal team, you will engage in cross-functional initiatives and build strong relationships with the Board, Executive Team, Senior Management, and colleagues at all levels. Key responsibilities include: Drafting commercial agreements (e.g., NDAs, IT licensing, logistics, IP, recruitment) Developing standard terms and conditions for suppliers and customers Advising on consumer legislation, data protection, and privacy regulations Providing training on anti-bribery and competition law Monitoring new legislation impacting the business Managing IP rights, trademarks, and customer disputes The ideal candidate is a UK-qualified solicitor, newly qualified or with up to 4 years' PQE in commercial contracts, corporate work, or commercial litigation. You should be able to work autonomously, grasp complex legal issues, and have a passion for education, technology, and data protection. In-house or secondment experience at a fast-paced consumer-focused company is highly advantageous. This role is perfect for someone seeking their first in-house move and/or increased responsibility.
