About the Role:

You'll be a vital link between students, schools, and families, working to ensure young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs thrive in mainstream education. As a Key Worker, you'll manage a caseload of 10-12 pupils, providing tailored support to help them overcome challenges and succeed.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with school staff to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Support pupils to develop their SEMH skills and make positive choices.
  • Act as a key point of contact for pupils, families, and school staff.
  • Work proactively to prevent exclusions by addressing underlying needs and challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to multi-agency meetings.
  • Ensure pupils are supported to meet the expectations of mainstream school policies, including behaviour standards.

About You:

  • You are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people.
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You are proactive, resilient, and able to work independently.
  • You have strong time management and organisational skills.
  • You are experienced in working with young people with SEMH needs (desirable).
  • You enjoy working in a multi-agency environment.
  • You hold a minimum of a Level 2 (GCSE 4-9 or equivalent) qualification in Maths and English.
  • You hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
  • You will be required to travel across the West Sussex area.

What's On Offer:
