Greenacre are pleased to be supporting a social housing organisation, based in Essex, with their recruitment of an Income Officer.

The ideal candidate will have experience of maximising rental income by the effective control of rent arrears in line with policy, procedure & targets.

What will you do in the role?

* Providing advice and information to tenants (both current and former), concerning rent charges, arrears, benefit entitlement, income maximisation and payment methods

* To monitor cases ensuring early intervention, prompt arrears action and to prepare and produce arrears letters

* To assist in the preparation of appropriate notices to tenants who are overdue with their rent payments

* To take effective arrears enforcement action where necessary, including preparing and serving notices, preparing statements for eviction reports and applying, presenting and attending court hearings

Who would excel in this role?

* Experience of working in an income/ rent recovery role

* Experience of serving notices

* Experience of preparing for and attending court
