Independent Living Officer
£27,403.80 pa
37 hours full time
(working 8-4pm daily and 12-8 pm on a rotational basis )
Location The ILO will work in a variety of settings including, but not limited to Harbour House, Independent/Extra Care Living schemes, community facilities and customers homes
What will you be doing in this role?
The Independent Living Officer (ILO) will be responsible for delivering housing management support functions to older people both in our Independent Living properties and CGA homes.
The role supports a holistic approach to independent living and the ILO will work closely with a number of our customers to ensure they have the best quality of life and are able to stay in their homes for as long as they can through the provision of a service which is centred around the person and their wellbeing.
The ILO will also provide an emergency response service to our customers during weekdays, working a rota system, with occasional weekend work required to support community events.

Experience of working within a housing or support environment.
Experience of working with older or vulnerable people and supporting people with complex needs, including mental ill health, substance dependency and dementia.
Experience of dealing with challenging behaviour
Experience of lone working
Ability to work independently, make decisions and take responsibility for own actions.
Able to work flexibly and as part of a team.
Good operational understanding of assistive technology.
A good understanding of Health and Safety.
It would be great if you also had:
CIH Housing Qualification Level 2
