The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. br What we are looking for: br Must have demonstrable experience working in IPC role. br Previous experience working within the acute healthcare sector. br Experience of customer care, including interacting with challenging customers and situations. br Knowledge/ Skills/ Qualifications br Registered Nurse (or other profession e.g. Operating Department Practitioner) with minimum 3 years post registration. br Mentorship or equivalent qualification. br Nationally recognised IPC qualification. br Teaching and assessing qualification e.g. ENB 998 (or equivalent). br Specialist knowledge to a level defined for that hospital br Able to apply specialist knowledge to risk assessment and support appropriate controls. br Presentation skills. br Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence. br Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems. br IT GCSE at grade A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence. br Experience in dealing with staff regarding clinical issues. br Duties of this role include: br Lead the team to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual and wider community. br Lead the team in demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity. br Develop own competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge / skill, and expertise. br Communicate appropriately with others involved in the care of the patient. br Act as an advocate for safeguarding patients; demonstrate courage to speak up when there are concerns about care. br Demonstrate commitment to improving care and the patient experience. br To be a core member of the Hospital IPC committee (HIPCC). br To develop in partnership with the senior person responsible for IPC and with approval of the HIPCC, an annual program, that is aligned to the HCAI code (DH 2010) (plus for Scottish and Welsh hospitals: NHS Scotland Code of Practice and National HCAI strategy for hospitals in Wales) and reflects specific objectives of Circle Health Group National Infection Prevention and Control annual program. br Where appropriate be a key implementer of the Hospital IPC programme. br Please refer to the additional job description for a more extensive overview of what this role entails. br Salary & Benefits br Circle Health Group is committed to offering competitive starting salaries and access to a wide range of employee benefits, including: br 25 days holiday per year + bank holidays, increasing to 30 days with service br Private Pension Scheme br Private Healthcare Scheme for treatment at our hospitals, covering pre-existing medical conditions br Friends & Family Hospital Discounts br Family Friendly policies, including enhanced Maternity, Paternity & Adoption pay br Non-contributory life insurance br Staff engagement hub with access to discounts and extensive rewards and voluntary benefits br Access to resources, tools and services to support your wellbeing br Employee recognition programmes br Industry leading training and development opportunities br and much more! br Circle Health Group is committed to creating a diverse workforce offering inclusive opportunities for all our colleagues.
