BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting an Information Security Manager UK&I, reporting to Director-Security. The position will involve a mixture of working from home, and can be based at any UK&I Regional office location. BAM Operate a flexible working policy. As Information Security Manager UKI you contribute directly to BAM s objectives by strengthening the design and effectiveness of the BAM Information Security Management Framework.You will support Divisional management, Segments and underlying projects within UKI with the implementation and compliance with the required information security policies. You will report to the Director Security and be a member of BAM Group Security function. Your mission Managing the UKI information security agenda in line with the Group Security agenda, including reporting to key stakeholders Managing the Information Security Management System (ISMS) within UKI as part of the ISO27001 certification and Cyber Essentials requirements Identifying emerging data and information security risks and trends and recommend appropriate solutions Coordinate and conduct Business Impact Assessments (critical and non-critical systems) and potential follow up actions Supporting the completion of Data Privacy Impact assessments from a security perspective Support tenders and projects with applying information security requirements from a process, content and awareness perspective Assisting with the assessment of third-party providers security measures based on the supplier security instruction Promotion of information security awareness within UKI across the organization Assisting compliance with the investigation of any suspected or actual information security incidents and closure of identified remedial action as required Perform periodic internal control assessments regarding information security (via the BRIC tool). Management of the UK Information Security Project Manager Deliver Security Standards within the organisation and on projects, including certifications (ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials) Implementation of relevant Information Security policies/procedures Promote best security practice Monitoring of security requirements Support staff development Key activities Application of Security Standards with respect to current/new technology Assist and report on construction site reviews and encourage continual improvement Ensure/encourage security through awareness training Mentoring new staff into the security environment Record risk/non-compliance and formulate in an on-line dashboard by partnering with the information management pillar. Interpret tender requirements within the scope, pull together internal and external solutions within time frames given by key stakeholders. Influence stakeholders with the right understanding of what information security has to offer including keeping them up to date on awareness. Who are we looking for? To succeed in this role: A good working knowledge of information security including ISO/IEC 27001 and Cyber Essentials Multiyear experience of managing information management systems and having Security Clearance (or is willing to have Security Clearance as part of the onboarding) Hands-on, proactive and ambitious attitude Has a network of security leaders and professionals in the public and private sector Understanding of, and practical experience of applying data protection and other related legislation, standards and codes of practice Ability to communicate with people at all levels and influence change within the business Proficient in the scoping, application and use of information technology Experience in managing, coaching, mentoring and developing others.
