Senior IT Support Engineer - Birmingham - Hybrid WorkingWe seek an experienced Senior IT Engineer to join our IT team, focusing on internal operations and collaboration systems. This role is essential for maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure, which supports domestic and international offices and remote workers. Our cloud-based environment uses Google Workspace, Zoom, Cisco, Palo Alto, Okta, and Jamf, with a primary user base on Mac systems and a transition from Windows underway. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned IT professional to make a meaningful contribution.Key Responsibilities:Manage internal IT, networking, and cloud-hosted servicesCreate and maintain systems architecture documentationEnsure security of data, networks, and backup systemsLead hardware and software upgradesTroubleshoot and resolve system issues strategicallyAssess new technologies and conduct cost/benefit analysesOversee IT budgeting and manage the IT Helpdesk SystemRequirements:Extensive experience in senior IT roles, including network administration and troubleshootingExpertise in managing Cisco network environmentsFamiliarity with the Apple ecosystem, managing macOS and iOS devices with JamfExperience with Google Workspace, Okta, Atlassian products, Zoom, and other cloud IT systemsProficiency in cloud-based IT service management, particularly AWS infrastructureStrong understanding of VPN, DNS, DHCP, LANs/VLANs, and firewall management (preferably Palo Alto)Skilled in IT ticketing systems management and record-keepingDesirable Qualifications:Apple certifications (e.g., ACSP), Jamf training, or equivalentOkta Essentials training and certificationCCNP and/or CCNA certification or similarLinux qualifications/certificationsKnowledge of ISO 27001 and other security standardsITIL V3 Foundation certificationExperience managing Zoom servicesBenefits:25 days holiday, plus Bank Holidays (trialling unmetered leave in 2024)Hybrid working (office and remote)Tech set-up (MacBook)Flexible working arrangementsSupported Pension SchemeLife assurance at four times the salaryPrivate Medical InsuranceInterested?
