Infrastructure Architect

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Considering the nature of client engagements, all employees must qualify for UK Government Security Clearance - This entails possessing the right to work in the UK without requiring a visa/sponsorship and having resided in the UK for at least five consecutive years without any gaps of more than six months.Senior / Principal Infrastructure ArchitectOur client is a technology consulting firm, due to rapid growth plans, they are looking for a Senior / Principal Infrastructure Architect.The architecture practice houses a network of industry-leading professionals. As a practice, they deliver complex transformations, seamless cloud migrations and enterprise architecture definitions and management.As the Principal Infrastructure Architect, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the design and deployment of infrastructure servers, networks, and end-user devices. From conceptualisation to implementation, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and resilient architectures that empower clients to achieve their strategic objectives.Responsibilities:Lead the architectural design and development of infrastructure solutions.Provide architecture leadership and support to infrastructure teamsConduct comprehensive assessments of clients' existing infrastructure landscapes, providing strategies and roadmaps to improve the existing infrastructure systems.Provide Assurance - Reviewing architectural designs, ensuring they have been implemented correctly from an infrastructure perspective – assuring changes are low riskDevelop plans for procurement and implementation of infrastructure.Provide direction to teams on implementing technical solutions and methodologies to achieve desired outcomes.Offer resolutions to intricate issues arising in network programs and projects.Guarantee readiness for disasters; establish technical resilience i.e. implement secure backup and recovery procedures to safeguard against system disruptions.Regularly engage with business stakeholders to monitor, document, and report on projectsCurrent experience will include:You will possess a meticulous approach to problem-solving.Proven experience supporting highly critical servicesEnd-user devices / Backup as a service (BaaS)Server Virtualisation / VMWaveKubernetes (highly desirable)Efficiently interact with clients to ascertain project goals and specifications.Knowledge of data-centric operations and the components involved.Experience dealing with major incidents and outages.
