Infrastructure Engineer (Network/Systems) - Coventry - Hybrid - Progression - New!Highly Competitive Salary + Hybrid Working + Career Progression + Insurances + PensionAre you an Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in Networks and Systems, looking for an exciting new role within a market-leading business, offering the chance to be a part of a big transformation while supporting an exciting skilled team and with extensive career progression opportunities?The business is an industry-leading organization in the fields of Ground Maintenance, Landscaping & Civil Engineering who recognize hard work and dedication and are willing to invest in you, so you can reap in rewards.The purpose is to be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability and security of the business along with managing and implementing existing and new virtualised Microsoft Windows and Linux server infrastructure.Your Role (In addition to the above):Design, implement, and manage VMware virtualization infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Configure and maintain Citrix environments, including XenApp and XenDesktop, to support seamless application delivery and desktop virtualization.Create and maintain thorough documentation and instructional materials as necessary to enable all IT personnel and end users to interact correctly and effectively with hardware and software systems.Administer WatchGuard firewall solutions to safeguard network security and protect against cyber threats.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess business requirements and develop scalable solutions that align with organizational goals.Ideal candidates will have the following:Management and support of Cisco and HP routers and switches.Management and support of Watchguard firewalls.5+ years experience in systems and network engineering roles.Expertise in key virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.Proficiency in Citrix products such as XenApp, XenDesktop, and NetScaler.Strong understanding of network security principles.Solid grasp of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).Strong background in management of Microsoft Server environments.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure.Experience designing and deploying WiFi and structured cabling projects.Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation and orchestration.Excellent opportunity to join an organisation willing to invest in your future!
