Infrastructure Engineer - Work for Good

Our client is a top work for good organisation who are currently requiring an Infrastructure Engineer for a lot of their in-house infrastructure projects. The salary for this post is £33,496 per annum, the hours are 35hrs p/w and the post is based in our Central Office in Newtownards. Candidates must clearly demonstrate on their CV how they meet the following essential criteria: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Proved experience in IT infrastructure roles focusing on Microsoft, VMware and Cisco Meraki technologies. Experience in use of VMware ESXi 7.1.3, vSphere, and vCenter management. Proven experience in planning and executing migrations to Microsoft 365 (including Office 365, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Intune). Experience in using Veeam for backup, replication, and recovery tasks. A full current driving licence and access to a car is essential. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence Availability for on-call duties and out-of-hours work as required Key Responsibilities: To design, implement and maintain robust and scalable IT infrastructure solutions. To ensure the reliability an IT security of all infrastructure components. To conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance and efficiency. To lead infrastructure upgrade projects, including hardware and software updates. To collaborate with all IT colleagues to reinforce infrastructure security. To stay abreast of technological advancements and integrate them into our infrastructure where beneficial. To execute all patch management, backups and routine maintenance procedures.
