Infrastructure Engineer

Our client, a leading regulator, have a fantastic opportunity for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their technology team. This role is part of the Technical Service’s function that collaborates on the design and support of ICT solutions within the organisation.The post holder will be working as a strategic stakeholder for all infrastructure and capacity management designs, as well as working closely with the service desk to resolve incidents, including longer term problem management solutions.Requirements:Qualifications and experienceExtensive experience of design, configuration and maintaining Microsoft Azure platform, such as M365, Azure IaaS, Azure security and Dynamics 365.Experience of incident, change and problem management processes and experienced in developing capacity management plansITIL qualification and degree qualification in related ICT field or equivalent experienceTechnical SkillsStrong experience of Managing Azure platform – Exchange Online, Dynamics365, DevOps, Intune, ADFSExperience of Installing and Administering Windows Serves, Windows Server 2012 Active Directory (Demonstrable knowledge of Scripting, GPO, LDAP, DNS, DHCP), Server Virtualization Infrastructure – VMware and Hyper-VDesktop Virtualization – VMWare Horizon View, VMWare MirageExperience of managing and configuring Firewall/Routers (Creation of IPsec Tunnels, MPLS, WAN, LAN, WLAN, Netscaler and WebsenseDemonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VOIP, Routing/SwitchingExperience in working with IT service management, including change, incident, service improvement and problem managementKnowledge, skills and abilitiesExtensive experience of supporting business critical applications and customer facing web applicationsExperience of influencing, designing, planning and implementing technical solutions to meet business requirementsSolid understanding and experience of Agile delivery and ITIL Service ManagementDemonstrable capability of successfully on-boarding major new business services and applications into support with a structured approachDemonstrable experience of competent decision making in BAU, crisis situations and on problem resolution by working with the organisation’s problem manager, understanding the criteria for escalation where appropriateExperience of Incident, Problem and Change Management processesThe client offers an excellent benefits package including 30 days holidays, enhanced pension contributions and enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
