Infrastructure Engineer

Our client, a global law firm, is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Microsoft 365 (M365) to join their innovative IT team. Role Overview: As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of the firm's IT infrastructure, with a particular focus on Microsoft 365. You will ensure the robustness, security, and efficiency of IT services, supporting the firm's operations globally. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in infrastructure engineering within a professional services environment, preferably legal, accounting, or audit. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage IT infrastructure with a focus on the M365 suite (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, etc.). Ensure high availability and reliability of IT services. Collaborate with IT and other departments to understand infrastructure needs and provide tailored solutions. Implement and maintain security best practices across the M365 environment. Perform regular system monitoring, maintenance, and performance tuning. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues. Manage and support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core services. Document infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures. Essential Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer in a professional services environment (legal, accounting, audit, or similar). Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with the Microsoft 365 suite. Strong proficiency in managing and supporting Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive. Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP. Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Desirable Skills: Experience with Azure Active Directory and other Azure services. Knowledge of security and compliance features in M365. Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation. Experience with virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Understanding of ITIL principles and practices.
