An exciting opportunity for an SC Cleared Infrastructure Engineer to join our Defence client on the South Coast.
Salary Range: £45k-55k + benefits package
Location: Hybrid onsite in Portsmouth, Hampshire
Required: ACTIVE SC Clearance
This is an opportunity for an SC CLEARED Infrastructure Engineer working at the forefront of digital technology. Thesuccessful candidate will work in a range of cutting-edge public-sector projects, seeking to exploit data for the benefit of the nation.
The Infrastructure Engineer will take a pivotal role in building a platform as a service,
Required Experience/ Skills:
Expertise with AWS, including, debugging managed services within AWS
Building and supporting server hardware
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, VMWare, IaC such as Terraform or Ansible
Ability to work with 2 or more CI/CD systems supporting GitOps such as, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Gitlab etc.
Awareness of information security, and security controls used to mitigate security threats
Experience in high assurance IT infrastructure (frameworks: JSP604, Secure by Design, NIST)
Configuring networking, firewalls, hardware, and other services within Linux operating systems
Designing and configuring manual/ automated Terraform
Configuring logging, monitoring, and alerting systems
Working with disconnected environments
Required Non-technical Skills:
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
Collaborating with and supporting the wider team to generate solutions to combat complex problems, to improve efficiency and decision making.
Experience delivering across medium to large projects (ideally across the Defence sector) in a consulting environment.
Significant public sector experience
Strong appreciation for agile working methods
Understanding modern standards and practices, and how they are applied
Desirable: Experience working with MOD & GOV.UK Service Manual
