Infrastructure Project EngineerFor a complete understanding of this opportunity, and what will be required to be a successful applicant, read on.Opportunity:A market-leading IT solutions provider specialising in platform hosting, network infrastructure, data centre and business continuity services and supply chain management is currently seeking an Infrastructure Engineer paying 45,000 circa with high earning potential in overtime / on-call to be based in Kent on a hybrid basis (very remote). Ourclient is particularly interested in candidate who have strong capabilitiesin M365, Azure (Azure Virtual Desktop), Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI) and Intune/Autopilot.Role responsibilities:Engaging with clients to determine their technology requirementsWorking with clients to deliver projects to a defined scope, quality, cost and timescale for outcome success.Clarifying client system specifications, understanding working practices and the nature of the customers business.Working at customer sites, liaising with staff at all levels within their organisation - good stakeholder management is therefore a pre-requisite.Developing new technologies and then implementing these.Presenting solutions in clear and consistent written or oral reports using Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Designing, testing, installing and monitoring systems during the Project phasePreparing documentation and presenting progress reports to customers following implementation.Core skills:Strong capabilitiesin M365 and Azure is a must haveRecent experience of Intune/Autopilot is a must haveBasic knowledge of Power Automate (Power Apps, Power BI) is a must haveVirtualisation (Microsoft Hyper-V / VMware) / Failover Clustering is a must haveExchange Server / Office 365 and associated e-mail protocols is a must haveRDS/Terminal ServerActive Directory, DFS, Security, GPOPowerShellTCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNStorage including SAN, NAS, SCSI, iSCSI and Fibre ChannelFirewall configuration / troubleshooting (Checkpoint/ WatchGuard / PFSense)Layer 3 switch configuration (HP Procure / Dell)Experience of Security would be an advantage (CISSP/CISM or equivalent)Package:Salary - £40,000 to £50,000 (circa)Holiday entitlement which increased over years of service.Training budget/certification (Microsoft Partner).Flexible Working / Work from HomeOvertime + On-Call allowance (10k-15k in some cases).Infrastructure Project Engineer
